The start of a new cooperation
After the market success in China, the Esfahan II project is a further milestone for Innospin’s air-cooled condensers (ACC).

MAPNA, the leading provider of combined cycle power plants in Iran, awarded Innospin the order for the complete design and engineering of four ACC projects.

Project requirements
The ACC must fulfil the requirements for a combined cycle power plant operating at high ambient air temperatures and subject to high earthquake specifications. The project was handled in close cooperation with MAPNA, combined with the objective of maximising the amount of local production.

Working closely together with the customer MAPNA, Innospin delivered a comprehensive engineering package with the performance design, the overall design, and local support of the production, erection, commissioning and guarantee acceptance.

Customer benefits
As an independent engineering company, Innospin disclosed the ACC Performance Analyses from the very start. Thanks to the open discussions with MAPNA, the ACC for the Esfahan project could be optimised to such an extent that it achieves an auxiliary power consumption that is around 1 MW lower than comparable ACC projects.

In addition, MAPNA is able to handle the ACC project itself, with a high proportion of local added-value.
