New auxiliary systems for the SGT5-4000

Development work for Siemens’ gas turbines
Siemens awarded Innospin and its Swiss production partners the order to redesign, layout and carry out the detailed construction for all the auxiliary systems for its 272 MW SGT5-4000 gas turbines (V94.3A). Innospin was thereby loosely integrated into Siemens’ development process.

Project requirements
The re-design of the previously nine individual auxiliary system packages had the objective of considerably reducing the costs for the manufacture, handling and assembly.

Our services
Complete development of the conceptual design and layout up to the detail design, manufacturing documentation, review by Siemens and support during the manufacture of the first system package.

Customer benefits
The original nine individual auxiliary system packages of the SGT5-4000 in dual operation were completely redesigned with a modular structure and could be reduced to two auxiliary system packages.

This reduction and the modular structure of the auxiliary system packages led to a considerable cost reduction in the manufacture, logistics and assembly. Furthermore, the outlay for the connecting pipe systems, the cabling and the foundation could also be massively reduced.

The auxiliary systems developed by Innospin and its Swiss production partners are today being successfully used by Siemens as a standard solution for 272 MW SGT5-4000 gas turbines.
